BMR Technical Design
 
Bethany graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Technical Direction and Scenic Design. Bethany recently finished Technical Directing and Scenic Designing Beauty and the Beast JR. at Wayzata CEntral Middle School. Bethany will be in Creede. CO. working as the Master Carpenter for Creede Repertory Theatre Summer of 2012. She is hoping to attend Graduate School in the Fall 2012.

When I was a child my mom got tickets to go see a production of A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. I was intrigued by how the scenic elements depicted movement in time and space just with a little turn of an element. When I started high school I joined the Theatre program because I wanted to understand how the scenic elements were made. For higher education I wanted to understand each design area worked together to produce a show. Now that I am looking towards Graduate school I want to gain a more in depth education in Technical Direction. I plan to learn more about Theatre and how it brings people together for entertainment and hopefully and life changing experience for a young child.
